At Like Family Home Care, we understand that our professional caregivers are the key to our clients being able to live the highest quality of life in their home as long as possible. Therefore, we do everything we can to hire experienced, engaging and compassionate caregivers – those who emulate the hallmarks of what we do.
Selective Hiring Process
We also use a highly selective hiring process. There is a four-stage interview and training process before someone is hired to work for Like Family Home Care. In addition, all employees must have multiple references, pass a pre-employment drug screening, 50-state background check and have an active CPR and first-aid certificate. All of our caregivers must test negative for TB.
We are proud to offer our caregivers a specialized training program brought to us by Cypress Homecare Solutions, a 20-year old home care agency with whom we are affiliated. This program is administered to all of our caregivers, regardless of their level of experience, and includes video and hands-on modules. Each caregiver’s skills are assessed by a written test before they are allowed to assist a client and anyone that comes into a client’s home is licensed, bonded and insured.
